Apple & Pear Autumn Cake

Apple & Pear Autumn Cake

This recipe comes from my personal collection, originally written in my book “Cooking with
Kids — or Something More” (currently available in Russian). I’m working on bringing it to
more families soon!

The beauty of this cake is its flexibility: you can make it with apples, pears, or both together.
What I especially love is the balance — there’s just a little bit of dough and looooots of fruit.

Ingredients:

Creative Process:

1. Wash the apples and/or pears and cut them into small cubes. Set aside.
2. Sift the flour into a large bowl. Add the sugar, semolina, and cinnamon. Mix well.
3. Pour in the vegetable oil and kefir. Add the baking soda and lemon juice, then stir until
combined.
4. Fold in the chopped fruit  and mix until evenly distributed.
5. Preheat the oven to 180°C (355°F).

6. Grease a baking pan and transfer the batter into it.
7. Bake for 40–60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
8. Allow the cake to cool before slicing. ❤️

Enjoy your homemade Apple & Pear Autumn Cake!

This cake is cozy, juicy, and full of autumn flavors. It’s the kind of dessert that fills the kitchen
with warmth while baking — and disappears quickly once it’s sliced. Perfect for sharing with
kids, friends, or anyone who loves fruit-filled treats.
