Strawberry Dessert in a Jar
Strawberry Dessert in a Jar
A bright, refreshing summer dessert filled with soft cake, juicy strawberries, and clouds of cream.
Why Kids Love It
Children enjoy layering colors and textures — golden cake, red berries, and fluffy cream. It’s visually satisfying, sweet without being heavy, and perfect for gifting or summer picnics.
Ingredients for the Cake
- 4 eggs
- ½–1¼ cup sugar
- 1–1¼ cup flour
- pinch of salt
Ingredients for Strawberry Layer
- 2 lbs fresh strawberries, diced + extra for garnish
- 3 Tbsp sugar
Ingredients for Cream Layer
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 6 oz cream cheese, softened
- ¾ cup powdered sugar
- ½ tsp vanilla

Creative Process
1. Butter a baking dish.
2. Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C).
3. Beat eggs with sugar and salt until fluffy.
4. Sift flour into the egg mixture in batches, folding gently.
5. Pour batter into the mold, add apple slices if desired.
6. Bake 30–40 minutes. Cool completely.
7. Toss diced strawberries with sugar and let rest 10 minutes.
8. Whip heavy cream. Separately whip cream cheese with powdered sugar and vanilla. Combine both mixtures.
9. Layer: cake crumbs → strawberries → cream. Repeat twice. Garnish with a fresh strawberry.
