Fruit/Berry Pie
A cozy summer pie filled with fresh fruit and decorated with creative shapes.
Why Kids Love It
Kids love playing with dough like clay — rolling, cutting shapes, making stars and hearts. They feel proud decorating the top of the pie their own way.
Ingredients: for the Dough
- 2 cups flour (whole wheat recommended)
- ½ cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 7 Tbsp cold butter
- 1 egg
- 2 Tbsp cold water
Ingredients: for the Filling
- ~3 cups chopped berries or fruits
- 2 Tbsp starch
- optional: brown sugar


Creative Process
1. Sift flour, baking powder, and powdered sugar.
2. Grate cold butter into crumbs.
3. Add egg and water; knead briefly. Chill.
4. Mix fruit with sugar and starch.
5. Preheat oven to 360°F (200°C).
6. Roll dough larger than pie mold; press into the pan.
7. Add filling.
8. Roll remaining dough and cut shapes or strips to decorate.
9. Bake 30–40 minutes.
10. Cool and slice.
