Ice Cream Cone Cake Pops
Ice Cream Cone Cake Pops
A playful summer treat that looks like a tiny ice-cream cone — but hides a cake surprise inside.
Why Kids Love It
It’s colorful, fun, and magical: children LOVE the moment they discover the “ice cream” is actually cake. Decorating cones feels like crafting at a summer fair.
Ingredients:
- cake mix or homemade cake crumbs (3 cups)
- colored white melting wafers
- colored candy wafers (optional)
- confetti sprinkles
- sugar ice-cream mini cones
- 1–1⅓ cup white or chocolate chips
- heavy cream

Creative Process
1. Bake cake according to instructions; let cool and crumble into fine crumbs.
2. Make ganache: heat cream until simmering, pour over chocolate chips, wait 3–4 min, whisk smooth.
3. Mix cake crumbs with ½ cup ganache.
4. Scoop 2 Tbsp portions, roll into balls, freeze 1 hour.
5. Dip bottoms of cake balls into ganache and place onto cones; refrigerate 1 hour.
6. Melt colored wafers.
7. Dip the top of each cake pop into melted coating and swirl.
8. Add sprinkles for the “ice-cream sundae” look.
